ACUPUNCTURE FOR ARTHRITIS AND JOINT PAIN

acupuncture for arthritis

Acupuncture for arthritis and joint pain has been a successful tool for centuries in China. Once Qi is enhanced in local meridian pathways, relief can be achieved with sometimes lasting and amazing results. Qi opening has a direct effect on blood flow and lymphatic drainage to the localized area. Moving the blood and qi seem to calm the pain and increase mobility in the joints. This process can also increase endorphins, reduce cytokine and histamine production. Using acupuncture to for arthritis is one of the best approaches initially and beyond.

Arthritis is such a common occurrence today that it is assumed that as we get older we become prone to various arthritic conditions that are either inherited or acquired through repetitive motion or joint trauma. Arthritis means inflammation of a joint. The source of this inflammation is the key to understanding arthritis. Once we understand the causative factors, we can look at addressing those instead of just treating symptoms. Try to think of arthritis pain as an effect of an underlying inflammatory process. When people are diagnosed with arthritis, they are often told that it is inherited or genetic. These are common terms to explain that you have a pre-disposition to a certain illness. They do not reveal the reason why certain illnesses run in the same family. Genetic in some cases should be called pathogenetic, meaning that what is passed is actually a pathogen carried in the mother’s womb and acquired by her offspring. Arthritis can have a lingering infectious component. My book reveals the sources of these specific causative agents in much more detail and will give you a different perspective on arthritis.
